Highpoint Market Trends 2021

It’s official. The warm months have passed and we are all getting ready for the cooler weather. I love this time of the year. The leaves are turning beautiful colors and the cool nights invite you to snuggle as we start to move indoors. It's also the perfect time to focus on our homes!

I attended the Fall Market at High Point, NC earlier this month. For those who are not familiar, the High Point Market is where thousands of designers and retail buyers gather to inspect and purchase the new introductions in home furnishings.

The manufacturers presenting were from all over the world. This year was quite different due to the whole supply chain and shipping issues that we are dealing with. There was more brainstorming and emphasis on sustainability and USA-made products.

I did notice the use of color on new products and fabrics. Blue is still very strong but the black and white duo wins the prize.

I saw lots of plaids and bold printed wallpaper and beautiful pillows in a variety of colors and textures. I grabbed a few for the launch of McLean and Tircuit Boutique and Studio!

The furniture lines that most impressed me are all moving in a contemporary direction. Clean lines become sleeker combined with natural fabrics and heavier textures.

I am so excited that I was able to establish relationships with a couple of fabulous furniture manufacturers that are open to me all year long, not just during Market. This allows me more opportunities to offer full customization and one-of-a-kind pieces.

As for my Boutique/Studio, I am in count-down mode! It will be open by the end of this month! Schedule your appointment today.
